Applications:

Pollution Control Systems: Used in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, particularly in scrubbers, where it resists the acidic environments formed during the removal of sulfur oxides from exhaust gases.

Chemical Processing Equipment: Employed in heat exchangers, evaporators, and reactors that handle highly corrosive acids (like sulfuric and hydrochloric acid), alkalis, and other aggressive chemicals.

Offshore Oil and Gas: Widely used in subsea pipelines, riser systems, and flowlines, where resistance to seawater corrosion and stress corrosion cracking is critical.

Product material

Alloy 625 is a rare combination of austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and high strength from low temperature to 982°C.

The strength of alloy 625 comes from the solid solution hardening of the nickel-chromium matrix by the presence of molybdenum and niobium. Therefore, precipitation hardening treatment is not required.

The chemical composition of Alloy 625 is also the reason for its excellent corrosion resistance in various harsh operating environments, as well as its resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. The alloy has the ability to resist pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, impact corrosion, and intergranular corrosion, and has almost no effect on chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Corrosion Resistance

The highly alloyed chemical composition of Alloy 625 nickel alloy seamless tube makes it have excellent corrosion resistance in various severe corrosive environments. The alloy is almost immune to attack under mild conditions, such as the atmosphere, fresh water and sea water, neutral salts and alkaline solutions. Nickel and chromium provide resistance to oxidizing solutions, while the combination of nickel and molybdenum provides resistance in a non-oxidizing environment. Molybdenum also makes alloy 625 resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, while niobium acts as a stabilizer during the welding process to prevent the occurrence of intergranular cracks. The high nickel content of Alloy 625 nickel alloy seamless tube makes it almost immune to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

The alloy 625 nickel alloy seamless tube can resist the erosion of mineral acids such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid, and can resist alkali and organic acids under oxidizing and reducing conditions.
