Applications:

Product material

Alloy 825 (UNS N08825) is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added molybdenum, copper and titanium. It was developed to provide special resistance to many corrosive environments, including oxidizing and reducing.

The nickel content of alloy 825 makes it resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, and combined with molybdenum and copper, compared with traditional austenitic stainless steel, it provides a greatly improved corrosion resistance in a reducing environment. The chromium and molybdenum content of Alloy 825 provides resistance to chloride pitting and resistance to various oxidizing environments. The addition of titanium stabilizes the sensitivity of the alloy in the welding state. This stability allows Alloy 825 to resist intergranular corrosion when exposed to a temperature range that would normally sensitize unstabilized stainless steel.

Alloy 825 nickel alloy seamless pipe can resist corrosion in a variety of process environments, including sulfuric acid, sulfurous acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, organic acids and alkalis, such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide, and acidic chlorine solutions.
